Our Story

Mangalam Foundation is a beacon of compassion and empowerment, dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society. Since its inception in 2018, the Foundation has tirelessly served communities, providing essential support such as food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare, environment and legal aid. Through initiatives like free schools for performing arts and martial arts, along with disaster relief efforts during cyclones and the COVID-19 pandemic, they have positively impacted the lives of thousands. With a commitment to holistic development, they continue to spread hope and opportunity, embodying the spirit of solidarity and service to those in need.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

MANGALAM always respect the sentence, “Education can build a Nation” and started walking on this path, foundation established its first supporting education school of performing arts, named SURTULIR PATHSHALA, in the year 2019 at Shyamnagar, North 24 Pargana and started giving free training of vocal, dance, drawing and recitation to almost 147 underprivileged children.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Mangalam respect the ideology of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA and always walk on the path directed by Swamiji.

During every Natural Disaster or Emergency situation the members rushed towards the affected people for support. It has conducted extensive relief operations for the victims of natural disasters such as cyclone, flood and fire almost every year and man-made calamities.

Mangalam rushed several times to serve the cyclone affected people of SUNDARBAN with raw and cocked foods, clothes, medicines, water and study materials and distributed amongst almost 24000 people there.

ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT

Tree plantation is a regular activity of the Foundation since inception. The Foundation adopted a 47 kattah of land, named GREEN VERGE from NKDA (New Town Kolkata Development Authority) and planted nearly 1100 different fruit trees within a year.

HEALTH

“Build up your health. Do not dwell in silence upon your sorrows” Swami Vivekananda’s quotation is following by the Foundation since its inception and started its first SUDEB LAL SARKHEL MEMORIAL FREE HOMEOPATHY CLINIC at Shyamnagar, North 24 Pargana in the year 2019 and extended this FREE CLINICS at some other places, like, Kolkata, Sainthia, Bolpur and North 24 Pargana.
